I picked up a vintage ancestor for my most recent watch purchase. This is the Bulova Accutron 214 Spaceview from around 1970. It keeps time with a vibrating tuning fork, which is unique (afaik) to Accutron watches. This one is powered by a battery as opposed to the modern versions

The Apple Watch is an amazing piece of technology. The device is everywhere, on the wrists of what feels like almost everyone. Faced with its ubiquity and my overall boredom with its appearance I decided I needed some retail therapy and a new watch. The Apple watch is now consigned
