Sugess Tourbillon Master
In the realm of high horology few things are as beautiful or as unobtainable to people of modest means as the tourbillon. Invented in 1795 it puts the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage to improve accuracy. High end watches with this complication are often $80K or well into the six figures.
I want one so I got one :-) I got the worlds cheapest tourbillon watch, from Chinese manufacturer Sugess. $600, and you know what, it’s remarkable. The watch itself is very nice with a display case back revealing a quite attractive movement. The tourbillion itself is fascinating to look at and delivers a very nice ticking sound you can actually hear on the wrist in quiet environments. The only thing I want to do is get a higher quality strap. Highly recommended.
