Subclub

When I left Glasgow 29 years ago I thought I would return after working for six months to a year in the US. That didn’t happen. One thing I really wanted to do was return once to the Sublcub which is a small basement club. It is one of the best night clubs in the world and I spent a lot of time there.

My previous attempts at returning were blocked by a fire that closed it for a few years and a global pandemic. I made it back this time. It hasn’t changed much. It still has an energy from the moment you walk in and as the night goes on it gets deeper and darker. The crowd is always there to party. Returning to this old haunt once feels like closing a chapter in my life.
