Merrick Garland and The Rule of Law

It’s very encouraging to see action from Merrick Garland these last few days. First, not Trump, but the Breonna Taylor case where finally Federal charges were brought by the DOJ against the officers. The officers who used false claims to justify the no-knock warrant that led to them killing Breonna, as they fired 22 shots into the apartment after Breonna’s companion fired a shot, believing the apartment was being broken into.

TFG, Mar-a-Lago raid. Seems TFG didn’t want to return the highly classified secrets he took from the White House and finally the DOJ / FBI had no choice but to act. Playing one game of chicken too far, TFG is up to his eye balls as it becomes inceasingly clear that there may have been some secrets for sale.

Merrick Garland has been so quiet it’s very easy to think he’s been running out the clock, not wanting to address the elephant in the room of TFG’s rampant criminality. Maybe The Rule of Law actually counts.
