Grand Seiko Omiwatari
I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a Grand Seiko. They had two recent releases which I really liked. The “White Birch” and the “Omiwatari”. I thought I would gravitate to the White Birch which is amazing, but the Omiwatari really surprised me.

It is a spring drive movement which combines manual winding in this case with quartz accuracy. The dial is a beautiful pale blue that seems to shift shades depending on the angle and light. Winding it is an old world pleasure and feeds a 72 hour twin barrel power reserve. There is a rear power reserve complication.
It’s a gorgeous watch an getting a lot of wrist time.
