For years I have been using two phones, one for work (iOS) and one for personal (Android). I’ve been using the Pixel devices from Google, from Pixel 2 to last years Pixel 6.

One observation is that Google’s Android operating system is amazing in many ways, especially its integration of AI. However it suffers from a lack of consistency across applications. Without Apple’s command and control providing strong enforcement of Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) there is natural fragmentation. This inconsistency is one reason why loyal users like myself are switching (back) to iOS. I don’t think I am alone as iOS has now suprassed 50% of US smartphone users.
