After the hottest summer on record it feels like Fall is arriving. The temperatures have dropped noticably in the Seattle area even though the weather is still sunny and beautiful.

I took my first business trip last week in 18 months. I visited Detroit for the first time. I was able to tour the city with a focus on Corktown, an old Irish immigrant neighborhood. It feels like a vibrant city, undergoing a renewal. Many areas are an odd mix of cool stores, restaurants, and small business next to abandonded buildings. Hopefully I will get to go again and explore more.
