Energized

It is less than a month since the debate and how things have changed. My feeling of apprehension over Biden stepping down has been replaced with one of optimism. It’s encouraging to see everyone rally around Kamala Harris. Now the age shoe is on the other foot as the Republicans are saddled with their aging and cognitively compromised candidate.

I’m hoping that the Democrats seize the momentum. Last week the news was that Biden was going to look at Supreme Court reform. They need to lean in on this immediately and push hard. The majority of this country knows that the court is partisan and corrupt. Reform should be front and center in the campaign. With a much younger candidate there is ample opportunity to present a more optimistic story for America and to contrast it to what was on offer at the RNC convention last week.
